The ImageIO Extension plugin adds support for reading additional image formats on the server side.

It enables the application to interpret image formats that can not be read by the Java VM natively. The TwelveMonkeys ImageIO library is shiped with this plugin to extend the image reading capabilities.

The following image formats are supported:
