The System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) plugin simplifies user management leveraging existing user databases. The plugin allows, e.g. importing existing users from Microsoft Entra ID. It is based up on the RFC 7643 and 7644.

The SCIM system in this product is based up on the Web API, which therefore is required. It should be used together with the Token Authentication plugin so external services can easily authenticate. For, e.g. MS Entra ID, it is required that the server is either running publicly or can be accessed from the internet by other means. The SCIM service providers must be set up with the base URL https://<server>/api/scim/vs where <server> is your servers FQDN.

The SCIM Web API can also be used to request information about users and groups in the product.
