Time

The Time Trigger starts a task at a specific date and time with an optional repeating interval. The following options are available in the configuration dialog:

  • Start Date: the date when the task should run for the first time
  • Start Time: the time of the day when the task should be run
  • Repeat: the interval at which the task should run

The Start Time will also be used for every future repetition of the task. It is not possible to have the task run multiple times per day with just a single Time Trigger.

Below the settings there is a section with the next execution times. Please note that there may be two dates/times displayed per line: first the time of execution on the server side, second the time of execution (local time) calculated for the current client. If both times are the same, only one is displayed.

Note: To have a task run multiple times per day, duplicate the Time Trigger and modify it for every additional starting times, or use the powerful Cron Trigger.

Repeat

Sets an interval for repeated runs with the following options:

  • One-time: runs the task once at the start date and time
  • Daily: runs the task every day at the start time, beginning at the the start date
  • Monday-Friday: runs the task every day from Monday to Friday at the start time
  • Weekly: runs the task once per week on the weekday of the start date at the start time
  • Two Weeks: runs the task every two weeks on the weekday of the start date at the start time
  • Monthly: runs the task once a month at the start time.
    • On: is an additional option, available to specify the day of the month.
  • Quarterly: runs the task every three months on the day of month of the start date at the start time.
  • Yearly: runs the task once a year on the start date at the start time
  • Custom: when a more specific interval is required, it can be set up using custom settings

Custom

Using the Custom setting, an even more specific interval can be defined. It allows to set up an interval for, e.g. every 2 days, every 4 weeks, every 6 months, every Friday, or First Monday of a month. The following options are available:

  • Frequency: create a Daily, Weekly or Monthly interval
  • Interval: repeat every X days, weeks or months
  • On: this option is available for weekly and monthly frequencies. It determines which day should be used for the repeated runs.
