Licenses
Licenses are usually used for software based assets - or, e.g. for operating systems on a computer.
The asset field for licenses is a predefined asset field that can not be removed. However, you can choose not to include the license field in your asset types, if a license is not applicable or required.
A license may contain the following fields:

Name: The display name of the license.

Label: A label, e.g. the type of the license, such as GPLv3.

Product: A product, e.g. a software, that this license is tied to.

Number of clients: The amount of clients that this license may be assigned to.

Number of servers: The amount of servers that this license may be assigned to.

Purchase date: When was this license procured,

Icon: An optional Icon for this license.

Remark: An optional description for this license.
Pictogram / Icon
Custom image files can be created and uploaded for the pictogram representation. In order to be able to upload the picture in different resolutions there is an area for processing them. There five pictures with a resolution of 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 64x64 pixels each can be set.
The interface will indicate if the resolution of the set images is too low.
Note: The file formats png
, jpg
, gif
and bmp
are supported. It is recommended to use images in png
format.
