The following information is derived from the plugin description.

The knowledge base is an application for creating and managing articles that contain standard solutions to similar problems and frequently asked questions.

Articles can be created from scratch in a dedicated interface or by converting tickets into knowledge base entries. Each article is required to have a solution and category set. Multiple languages are supported.

Articles that are more important or more often used by a user can be added to their private favorites and will be displayed first. Articles that are important for all users can be pinned.

There are a number of publishing options for an article. They can be set as drafts, supporter-visible, visible to customer/location and public. The visibliy modes are configured for each user individually in their permissions.

The knowledge base can be added as ticket extension in the Tickets application and provides a list of matching solutions by checking the ticket subject and inquiry text.

Changelog Information

  • In the menu of the articles in a search result, the option to copy the link to the article has been added.
  • The actions for editing articles are available in the toolbar in addition to the menu entry.
  • A "Show All Articles" button allows you to quickly list all articles in the selected category if more than 10 articles are available.
  • Added possibility to search for file attachments.
  • Public articles are no longer run with a category filter for endusers. Articles in hidden categories for endusers are migrated to supporter visibility.

Fixed Bugs

  • Some pinned articles were not displayed on the entry page of the knowledge base.
  • When deleting obsolete data in Maintenance, removing attachments without references will take Knowledge Base attachments into account as well.
  • Embedded images may not have been converted to attachments. These items will be migrated and the images will be displayed again.
  • Opening an article from the knowledgebase startpage and closing them preserve the previous selected category.
