Appearance

There are some possibilities to customize the appearance of the remote interface of this application, e.g. if you want to use your own corporate design. The framework Bootstrap which we use allows customization with a lot of options.

Users can ...

It can be set system-wide, which customizations are possible for the individual user. This ranges from the use of the predefined color schemes, the possibility to select one of the available themes to define its own colors in the user menu.

Select a predefined color scheme

If this property is activated, then users can select their own color scheme from the list of predefined color schemes.

The folder "themes" in the persistence contains the subfolders for predefined themes. It is possible to add additional themes. The name of the subfolder is used as the name of the scheme. It can contain the less or css files of the scheme. Please have a look at the Corporate Design page too.

Some themes you can add to the predefined themes can be found on the following sites:

Define a custom color scheme

If this property is activated, users can create their own color scheme by changing one or more colors of the scheme. With the defined list of colors it is easily possible to create the color scheme.

Default Appearance

In the configuration, it is possible to define the default appearance of the remote interface. If you want to change the default appearance you can:

  • Select a Predefined Theme
  • Create a User Defined Theme by changing default values of different colors and/or font size

Select a Predefined Theme as Default Theme

You can select one of the bundled themes or - if you added your own theme to the themes folder - you can select your own theme as default theme.

Create a User Defined Theme by changing default values of different colors and/or font size

Instead of using a predefined theme you could select the list entry "Userdefined...". Then you can change for example the Base Color, the Primary Color, or the font size.

Base Color

Main color for the entire surface. All surfaces are determined from this color. (Navigation bar, window title, backgrounds, buttons, etc.)

Primary Color

Color for important buttons, links and hover effects in selection menus.

Selection Color

Color for an active selection in tables, lists and menus.

Confirmation Color

Color for the reporting of valid values as well as buttons with recommended actions.

Warning Color

Color for marking alerts.

Error Color

Color of error messages, e.g. incorrect input values or system errors.

Font Color

Color for all text in the surface except hyperlinks. Likewise, texts and icons in standard buttons are provided with this color.

Font Size

Defines the font size in pixel. Depending on the display settings a value between 9px and 20px is possible. The size of headings and dialog titels is based on this value.

Set Default Values

With this button it is possible to reset the color values to its default values.
