This plugin provides essential support for email communication of the product.

It is a prerequisite for extending plugins to send emails, such as for system errors, notifications, or task planning features.

The plugin adds mail server configuration options to the system configuration, including the function to send a test email. It also allows for the setup of SSL/TLS secured connections. For an extra layer of security, you can encrypt outgoing emails using S/MIME and PGP. This encryption is performed with FIPS-certified libraries for added security.
