Data Protection

The Data Protection category allows you to configure options that provide the user with greater transparency to comply with policies.

Comparison

i-net PDFC offers the following options to secure the comparison data.

Delete comparison when no longer viewed

Enabling the option will automatically delete comparisons without title and no active users. That means that either the user has closed the comparison, had a session timeout or was disconnected from the comparison.

  • Default value: deactivated

Inactive user disconnect timeout

Users that do not interact with a comparison will be disconnected after this amount of time. Active/inactive users can be determined by the icons in the upper right hand corner.

In combination with the option to delete comparisons there is the possibility of having a comparison be deleted when there are no more active users after the given amount of time.

The minimum value is 1 minute.

  • Default value: 15 minutes

If necessary, the display of the cookie banner can be deactivated.

Information Message

A separate cookie message can be set if the given default text is not sufficient.

If a privacy policy or a separate website with corresponding cookie guidelines exists, the user can view them with the stored address.

Export

i-net PDFC offers the option to extend the exported documents generated from comparison to include a disclaimer or cover sheet as well as additional text in the footer area of each page.

This optional text well be added to the footer area of each export or report. In case of the export, the text will only be visible in case the header and footer area is selected. For the report the text is limited to a single.

  • Default value: none

Additional disclaimer/Cover sheet

The disclaimer is an optional document that will be prepended to each report or export. The document can have several pages but recommended is a single. For the report, the disclaimer pages will be scaled to fit the report pages so it's recommend to use page format with an aspect ratio similar to A4 for the disclaimer to avoid deformation.

The disclaimer document can be located either on the local hard drive of the server or in Drive.

To load a disclaimer from Drive please use the option to copy the link URL in the context menu of the selected Drive file. The copied URL must contain the Drive-ID of the disclaimer document since a path in Drive may not be unique for all users.

  • Default value: none
