Google Authentication

With this provider user can login with an account from one of the Google services.

System Requirement

  • Your server must have an FQDN name with a public top level domain. Server names like *.local will not work
  • A Google account

Create an OAuth App in Google

The following steps are only a hint and can change frequently:

  • Create a new project
  • Select the new project after it was created
  • In the hamburger menu select "API & services | Credentials"
  • Select OAuth consent screen and save your settings
  • Select "Create Credentials | OAuth client ID"
  • Use application type "Web application"
  • Add all "Authorised redirect URIs" like http://myap.mycompany.com/login/google and create it. Important the path must be end with /login/google. This is the used callback URL from this provider
  • Copy the values of Client ID and Client Secret

Setup the Authentication

In the configuration manager web interface you have to enter the Client ID and Client Secret that you received from the Google Credentials website.
