An element is any visual component of a report template in i-net Designer.

To embed an element into your report is to place an element into your report which already contains a presentation of the object as well as all information belonging to the object. If you modify the original object the embedded object is linked to, your embedded object will not be updated until you specifically update it yourself.

The evaluation time refers to the point in time at which a formula is evaluated. There are three such settings: before reading, While Reading, and While Printing. The default setting for formula evaluation times is:
If no database or group field is included in the formula, the formula is evaluated before reading database records.
If a database field is included in the formula, the formula is evaluated while reading database records.
If a group field, page number field, subtotal, etc., is included in the formula (any field which requires all records to be read in order to be evaluated), the formula is evaluated after reading the records and while printing the data from the records in the report.

Exporting enables you to save your report in various formats of third-party programs, such as Adobes Acrobat Reader, Microsofts Excel, HTML, or XML format, to name a few.
