Using a selection of chart types, the Chart component creates a visual representation of your data. The different chart types use the same general settings so that they can be changed when creating the report. After selecting a data source, you have access to the column selection with its categories on the X-axis and series on the Y-axis.

For the Scatter Chart, the Category, an X and a Y column must be configured. For the Bubble chart, an additional R - radius column must be configured. In both cases, only one column can be configured for each column property.

A Data Filter can optionally be set for each chart type so that the displayed data is filtered to a desired subset. Charts also support an optional title that is displayed at the top.

The charts support interactive functions that can be used to zoom in and hide entries in the charts. Zooming is done either using the mouse wheel or by dragging a frame over the data. The zoom is reset using a button in the chart toolbar. Showing and hiding entries can be achieved by clicking on an entry in the legend.

Note: If you highlight a specific section of the chart data in the settings, the same area is also highlighted in the preview so that you can easily see which data you are currently configuring.
