Crosstab
Crosstabs help to compare data from two or more categories. They show how often certain values occur together. To start configuring the crosstab, first select a Data Source.
A Crosstab configuration must be done with at least Columns, Rows, and Values to be meaningful - even though omitting the rows may be desired to only create a summary. The view settings allow more options to being configured:
-
In the Simple Settings, the Columns, Rows, and Values, as well as an optional Data Filter can be configured.
-
In the Moderate Settings, you can choose to arrange values Stacked or Side-by-side using the Value Arrangements. The prerequisite for this option is that you have configured multiple values.
-
Using the Complex Settings, additional configuration options for columns and rows become available:
-
Suppress If Empty - does not show columns with no content.
-
Suppress Grand Total - the overall sum is not being printed.
-
Totals on Top - the overall sum is added to the top instead of the bottom for rows and left most for columns.
-
Note: The number of loaded data sets is limited. If more data is available, it can be loaded via a button at the top of the toolbar and at the end of the component.
