Skills
AI skills are named, reusable descriptions that provide additional instructions or context for AI requests. A skill is not a separate program or automation. The AI Skills tool makes a configured skill's description available to the AI when the user asks for that skill, so the AI can follow the description while handling the request.
Managing skills
The Skills page under Configuration → AI lists the configured skills. You can:
-
create a skill with a unique name and description
-
edit an existing skill
-
duplicate a skill and adjust the copy
-
delete a skill
Give each skill a clear name and describe the intended task, relevant rules, expected output, and limitations. Keep sensitive information out of skill descriptions.
Using skills
Skills are available to AI features that support the AI Skills tool. The AI can request a skill by name and receives its description. A skill is only useful when the relevant AI feature and provider have access to that tool; configuring a skill alone does not make every AI feature use it automatically.
Command-line programs and Web API operations are configured separately in AI Integration.
