Crosstab
Crosstabs are powerful and yet can be quite complex. To ease the job we streamlined the UI as much as possible and display an extra schematic which highlights the section you will put your data in by hovering it.
To add a Crosstab, you simply drag a data field from the list into the "Data" box. This generates a total-value-only Crosstab with the summary options you provided (see below).
Add columns and rows by drag and drop to create full-blown crosstabs. Both columns and rows offer sorting options.
To change the order of columns, rows or the data entries, use drag and drop as well (in the browser version, use click to highlight and the "up" and "down" arrows at the upper right of the box instead).
Summary Options
Each entry in the "Data Fields" box offers a summary options dialog. Click the button to open the dialog. You can now change:
-
the name of the sum (uncheck the "Automatic Name")
-
the summary operation - how would you like your data to be summarized
-
an additional input or select field for certain summary operations
