Authentication provider that allows login against a database system.

This authentication provider relies on users configured in the given DBMS. When used as datasource for report generation, the report data can be restricted on the database side. The process of configuring a datasource for the Database Authentication is described in detail in the help.

This login type is a sub-type of the System Authentication.
