This sample plugin provides a password file based authentication method which uses the well-known htpasswd file format.

A htpasswd file uses a text format, where every user and the encrpyted password is stored in a separate line. The file can be created and updated manually using the text editor of your choice or with the htdigest utility that comes with Apache HTTP Server.

Note: This plugin is an authentication sample that can be used as a starting point for custom implementation. You can download and install the plugin as is, but it is recommended to download, unpack and check the content first. The plugin sample includes the source code as well as README files with further information and instructions. The sample plugin is also included in the SDKs.
