Font

Settings for the fonts used for reports/printing and the Ad-Hoc plugin.

Use Native Fonts

If set to true, then the Java Viewer Applet will use actual font names. This is useful in an environment where all workstations have the same fonts installed. If set to false, the Java Viewer Applet will only use abstract font names. This is more useful in a setup where different operating systems are in use. If fonts do not exist on the client, you can still use this option in combination with a font path, which will cause the fonts to be embedded in the report.

  • Default value: activated

Font Auto Scaling

This property specifies that the viewer should automatically scale text pieces so that they fit into the widths computed for them by the server's font metrics - this can help for report clients with different fonts to look more similar to the designed report.

  • Default value: activated

Compress Viewer Fonts

Specifies that embedded fonts sent to viewer will be compressed. This decreases the traffic between report server and viewer but can increase the report execution time on the server.

  • Default value: deactivated

Font Paths

Specifies the directory that contains the .ttf, otf and/or .ttc files used for font embedding in PDF export, PS export and Java viewer. This value points to the directory containing all TTF fonts that can be embedded into the created reports. It is recommended to use a font directory which contains all True Type Fonts that you would like to embed into your documents, e.g.: D:/reporting/fonts or /home/username/.fonts. Furthermore, the directory should not be loaded over the network. Instead, it should preferably be stored on an SSD in the server.

D:/reporting/fonts
/home/username/.fonts
