System Requirements
The following system requirements are placed on the individual components to ensure the functioning of the i-net HelpDesk. The requirements are separated by the Server system and the Client.
It is important to note that the system requirements correspond to the minimum requirements in each case and, of course, better hardware can be used as well.
Server
The following requirements are placed on the server system. It should be noted that the database must be considered in addition to the requirements of the i-net HelpDesk server.

Processor with at least 2.0 GHz and at least 2 cores (including HyperThreading)

from five active supporters: 4 cores

from ten active supporters: 8 cores

Memory: 1 GB RAM in addition to the requirements of all other components on the server

500MB additional for every 100,000 tickets, e.g. for a total of 500,000 tickets, at least 3.5 GB RAM is required

Hard Disk Space: min. 2GB free space

per 10,000 tickets additionally 5GB each, e.g. for a total of 500,000 tickets at least 250GB hard disk space is required.

SSDs give a dramatically better overall performance

Operating Systems: Windows Server 2022/2019/2016; Windows 10/11; alternatively Linux / UNIX / macOS 13+.

You may check the compatibility from the Java VM compatibility website as well. Your current Java VM version can be determined in the Server Information section of the Maintenance application.

HTTP Server: integrated Jetty web server (recommended), MS IIS or Apache 2.x.
Database
The following database systems as well as versions are supported:

As hard disk space for the database server, estimate about 1 GB per 10,000 tickets.
Client
The Tickets application is a pure HTML5 solution for end users/customers as well as supporters. A high-performance network connection via intranet or VPN is recommended for the Tickets application.
The latest browser versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Safari as well as MS Edge are supported at the time of release - either on a desktop or mobile platform.
Network Requirments
The i-net HelpDesk may require access to the public servers of i-net /// software enabling access to additional functions. The following table gives an overview of URLs and their function provided by the server.
